Irish Stock Exchange Identity System – 2010

Rebranding the Irish Stock Exchange
This brand identity was recognised with a Merit award in the 2011 Rebrand100 Global Awards.
I led the team that created this comprehensive brand identity system for the Irish Stock Exchange designed to support their key strategic objectives. The project introduced a new brand architecture, new market names and a new family of brand marks.
The existing Stock Exchange identity was a heraldic crest.
The new brand architecture, new market names, and a new family of brand marks.
Examples from the brand identity exploration process: much of the design work was displayed in a ‘war room’ for client reviews and discussions.
This suite of thirteen regulatory rule books is an integral part of the new brand identity system. Bespoke visual patterns, strong clear typography and distinctive colour-coding ensures that the content of these complex documents is now delivered in the most coherent and user-friendly manner.
I wrote and designed a detailed brand management publication that records all of the brand identity decisions taken to date. It explains the brand principles and gives guidance on how to implement the brand identity system as well as providing detailed technical specifications wherever appropriate.
I directed the development of a comprehensive suite of over eighty digital documents and forms. All of the various forms used by ISE clients now share common layout conventions, consistent structures and visual appearance. I handled the information design and typographic standards, and then managed the development of all forms as Word templates.
This brand identity system was recognised with a Merit award in the 2011 Rebrand100 Global Awards.
